Learning of the Covid-19 Pandemic back in the early part of March 2020, I suddenly one of those "Oh No" moments. Everything was moving ahead, new inquiries, new customers developing their products, and our regular customers re-ordering their initial molds.
At the "Oh, no" moment, I suddenly realized we had to change, and we had to change quickly to meet the challenges that Covid-19 would present. My first call was to our bank. They were offering deferred mortgage payments for six months. That was a major help and start. We still had to pay our property taxes though. Next, our bank offered a link to Government Programs which helped us immensely. We were suddenly without cash flow too. These two programs let us know that we could survive until we could work through many changes. We upgraded our website to online e-commerce. We changed our online credit card processor. We changed our current system of invoicing and direct. We set up an account with Canada Post to manage our shipping, calculating costs, printing labels. So, there were more changes and upgrades we undertook. Changing early and quickly was a good thing.
